African lady

AFRICAN LADY

Where do you hide?
My tender-hearted African lady
Sinking to the deepest depth of the earth,
Soaring to the highest height of the heavens
I found none like you
You are the only truth to me
In a world full of ersatz humankind
You are the only one authentic
The sunshine of my life when you are near
The shooting star in the sky when you far
The fountain of my joy
The most pleasurable scent to my senses
The coast and arid lands i have spared not
In my search for the right one
There’s no other to march your personality
On my own I'm lost
Bruised from the splitting cold knife of betrayal
From the devils of this world
You are my rudder
You have stilled the turbulent waters of my life
In you found I, the sudden new meaning in life

When did you go?
Vanishing into abyss of your flirty disappearing act
Why do you break my heart?
My familiar little angel guide
You and your AWOL ways
My breathe is short and heart faint
Youth energy dissipating fast
In the quick sand of endless tarry
Now here i am
My lovely chummy
The fire that kindles passionately
In my cold stormy wilderness
Thawing all the icy steeliness of my flaws
Bathing me to fresh rejuvenation
Breathing life into my stoned emptiness

My helpmeet
My wholeness
The girl of my dreams
You are
The colour of love in the gloomy grey shades of my substance
Every royalty needs a clown so they say
To cure their melancholia
Can I be your fool and
You my queen

What have I done to you my sunshine?
That you discard the oars of relentless fervor
The days when you first loved me
Now by your absence my heart is plucked in cold bloodiness
My dreams shattered
The hope of a destiny together
When you cast me to the wolves
Of depression, and
The every urge of those that hate me
Wanting to lick my bones to dryness
To the complexion of death
But you promised,
You made a heavy debt to me
Through highs and lows you said
How long will your aloofness and absence
Lead me to disquietude
Taking the sail out of my ship and
Blasting her to flotsam
To meaningless splinter
Broken into wobbly splinters of memory
Like the broken threaded lines of memorabilia
Nicked during the era of my inclinations
For the convoluted ways of life
But these thread lines are the sweet memories we share
Showing me how to hold you in my arms
How to kiss you
To share the beautiful thing they call love

By your absence
Piece by piece I wither away
Hung tenuously by the vestige of your serenading touch
Your warm soft kisses
All but a phantom in this cold night

Even as i drown
Drowned from below by the evil forces that be
In my hands is a picture
The picture of you
As the soft bite of morning sun wash over your gracious ebony skin
I behold, the most beautiful smile in the world
Nestled with the most perfectly hewn face
The quintessence of beauty
Eye glistening with childlike innocence
I grin, a peaceful grin amid the tossing sea wind
Despite the ebbing currents of the uncertainties
The painful welts of looming loneliness
The whirlpool fraught with trials and tribulations
A fat grin of knowing
An assurance that one day
Your undying love would find me
In an highly spirited twist of fate
To my north pole,
I lost all tings when i lost you
In the surf of unruly indifference
But one day you would find me
And flicker my light of hope
Give me a clear course to completeness
That no other person but you can bring.
