HELIOS

HELIOS

The Sun,
the fiery fireball
blazing spheroid star perched in the sky
flung high above in the giant azuric drape
yet its height reaches the depth of the earth
liquid flames burning eternally
great is your glory
all that is beneath bowed in obeisance
splashing a bucket full of warm beam
bathing the earth softly like a mother
yet piercing the tectonic plates with unquantifiable energy
impacting both the highnesses and lowlies
the righteous and ungodly.
the great unsentimental judge at the dais
radiantly painting the vista of landmarks.
