What if
We have all been living -
This well-scripted piece called Nigeria?

What if
We have all conscripted -
Into these roles
And we didn't even need to apply –
For the current audition?

What if
All this unbelievable things were not facts,
The visual effect of a screen play
And the technology is so esoteric -
No one can wrap their minds around now?

What if
The daily roll-call of killings
The social injustice
The unholy gratification of corruption
Of God's own people
Were just Make-believe.

What if
One day,
We wake up from our lifelong hallucinations
To find
We have been dreaming of - a carnage
Or at best our respective Utopia...
